These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, mobile applications, services, and products (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using Saum, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this Platform.

  1. About Saum

    Saum is a faith-tech platform offering:

    • Luxury pilgrimage and spiritual travel experiences, including curated itineraries, accommodations, logistics, and on-ground support; and
    • Retail of spiritual products, including but not limited to incense sticks, ritual accessories, and related items.

    All services and products are provided under the brand Saum ("we", "us", "our").

  2. Eligibility & Use of the Platform
    • You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking or purchase on Saum.
    • You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information while using our Platform.
    • You shall not use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if we believe the Platform is being misused.

  3. Travel Services – Scope & Nature
    1. Nature of Services

      Saum curates and facilitates pilgrimage and spiritual travel experiences. These may include:

      • Travel planning and itinerary design
      • Accommodation arrangements
      • Local transportation
      • Assistance with temple visits and rituals
      • On-ground coordination through partners

      Saum acts as a facilitator and coordinator and works with third-party vendors such as hotels, transport providers, guides, and local authorities.

    2. No Guaranteed Religious Outcomes
      • Darshan, rituals, or temple access are subject to temple authorities, local regulations, weather conditions, crowd management, and other factors beyond our control.
      • While efforts will be made to provide as seamless and luxury experience as possible, Saum does not guarantee specific darshan timings, queue skipping, ritual outcomes, or religious experiences.
  4. Bookings, Payments & Confirmation (Travel)
    • All travel bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
    • A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
    • Prices may change due to factors such as fuel costs, government levies, temple regulations, vendor pricing, delays in confirmation, delays in payment, etc.

    Saum reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking if payment is incomplete or if required information is not provided on time.

  5. Changes, Cancellations & Refunds (Travel)
    • Cancellation and refund terms vary by itinerary, vendor, and destination and will be communicated at the time of booking.
    • In many pilgrimage packages, bookings are non-refundable due to advance commitments with vendors.
    • Date changes may be permitted at Saum's discretion and may attract additional charges.

    Force Majeure

    Saum shall not be liable for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

    • Natural disasters
    • Political unrest
    • Pandemics or health emergencies
    • Temple closures or government orders

    In such cases, refunds (if any) will be subject to vendor policies.

  6. Retail Products – Incense & Spiritual Goods
    1. Product Information
      • We strive to display accurate descriptions and images; however, variations may occur due to handcrafted or natural materials.
      • All incense and spiritual products are sold for personal devotional use only.
    2. Orders & Payments
      • Orders are confirmed only after successful payment.
      • Prices are inclusive/exclusive of taxes as displayed at checkout.
    3. Shipping & Delivery
      • Delivery timelines are indicative and may vary due to location, courier delays, or unforeseen circumstances.
      • Saum is not responsible for delays caused by third-party logistics providers.
    4. Returns & Refunds (Products)
      • Due to the consumable and devotional nature of incense and spiritual items, returns are not accepted unless the product is damaged or incorrect at the time of delivery.
      • Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with supporting images.
  7. Health, Safety & Personal Responsibility
    • Travel to pilgrimage destinations may involve physical exertion, walking, altitude changes, or crowded conditions.
    • You are responsible for assessing your own physical fitness and health suitability.
    • Saum is not liable for illness, injury, loss, or discomfort experienced during travel, except where required by law.
  8. Intellectual Property
    • All content on the Platform, including text, images, logos, videos, and designs, is the intellectual property of Saum or its licensors.
    • You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without prior written permission.
  9. User Content & Conduct

    If you submit reviews, feedback, images, or testimonials:

    • You grant Saum a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use such content for marketing and communication purposes.
    • You confirm that the content does not infringe third-party rights or contain offensive or misleading material.
  10. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law:

    • Saum shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
    • Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service or product giving rise to the claim.
  11. Indemnity

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Saum, its founders, employees, and partners from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from:

    • Your breach of these Terms
    • Your misuse of the Platform
    • Your violation of applicable laws or third-party rights
  12. Privacy

    Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information.

  13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

    These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

  14. Changes to Terms

    Saum reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on the Platform.
